Effective screenwriting relies on the good understanding and use of structure.
Inexperienced screenwriters may believe that structure inhibits creativity, but experienced writers know that following a template helps them to problem identify, generate ideas, select good ideas and develop them to reach that all important words-on-paper first draft structure is not a hindrance but an enhancer of creative output.

This may not be a politically correct analogy, but if you were to shoot off a cruise missile from 200 miles away you would want it to hit your target, am I correct? The same can be said for an article writer -- the substance of any article is very important, but an article misses the mark if it doesn't do what you intend it to do: that is, bring about a call to some sort of action, i.e., buy my product, sign up for my newsletter, etc.

I was busiy submitting some articles I ghost wrote for a client to some
web portals late one night, when I was struck by a message a web site
editor left for visitors. I wont tell you the actual site name, or mention the company that they are targeting with their message in order to protect their privacy. But the message went something like this. STOP! If you are submitting articles from article factory, we do NOT publish them on this site.

It might shock you to learn that the most successful online articles for marketing are actually the shortest ones? It took me a while to figure this out and now after writing some 1900 online articles, for fun mostly, I now know that the experts in the field were correct; Short, tight and sweet works for online article marketing. Why is this I thought, so I researched this and read a few books on the subject and found it has a lot to do with social engineering.
